Baby Eyes
One of the greatest moments in my life is when each child extended his or her arms to me and finally smiles and says “Dada”. I look into their eyes and melt. To see life. To see creation. To see growth and baby steps is a wonder.
Knock knock, who’s there?
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
The Turtle
The Bible says this “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:3,4
Wax cold
God is love. When Christ enters the hearts of men, that same stone cold heart begins to melt. We begin to see that the laws of God are not to constrain us, but to protect us.
Possum
At times, we have people that play possum. They play possum at work. They play possum at home. They play possum at church. What do I mean?
Armadillos
As I visit many hospitals, and many homes, I come in contact with people that before you can enter the room, you must wear surgical attire. After the visit, you need to remove the gown and wash your hands thoroughly, despite the fact that you had gloves on. Image how these precious souls must feel. They can’t touch you, they can’t embrace you, and they can’t kiss you on the cheek. They are like armadillos
What do you see?
What do you see? It all depends on you. Do you see the promise land or do you see the obstacles? Or could it be that you just need a new set of faith glasses? What do you see?
The Scam
“He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” Revelation 22:11
Cell 1141B
“I will never be able to hold her again, but I forgive you,” a daughter of Ethel Lance said.
Heat and Shade
“Moses faithfully set before the people their great sin. It was God’s power alone that had preserved them in ‘that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water.’’
God, City & Country
“The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.”Isaiah 11:6-9
