The Houston Central SDA Church Health Ministry Department recently hosted a wonderful and educational “No Knead Ezekiel Bread Demo”, bringing together members and guests for an afternoon focused on healthy living, practical cooking skills, and faith-centered wellness.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The event featured live demonstrations on how to prepare several wholesome bread recipes from scratch, including Ezekiel bread, whole wheat bread, and steam bread. Attendees learned new baking techniques and gained helpful insight into using whole grains, plant-based ingredients, and homemade bread preparation.
Learning How to Make Ezekiel Bread from Scratch
One of the highlights of the event was the Ezekiel bread demonstration, inspired by Ezekiel 4:9. Participants were shown the full process from start to finish, beginning with grinding whole grains and legumes to create fresh Ezekiel flour before turning it into hearty, nutritious bread.
Whole Wheat Bread and Steam Bread Demonstrations
In addition to Ezekiel bread, presenters also demonstrated soft whole wheat bread and fluffy homemade steam bread. Each recipe offered practical ways families can include healthier homemade options in everyday meals.
Delicious Tasting and Fellowship
After the demonstrations, guests sampled the freshly made breads with jams, honey, spreads, and other delicious accompaniments. Participants also enjoyed a flavorful plant-based meal, creating a warm atmosphere of fellowship and community.
