The Patient- Part 2

One of the things I noticed as a patient in the hospital, is that every person has a vital role. From the receptionist, to the admission clerk, and then to the staff on the unit, each one plays an important part. The Island

The rain came down and the waters came up. The Houston area experienced what is called a “500 year flood”. I watched through the windows to determine if the water was going to reach our home. The first day of the storm resulted in the water cresting around a foot from our front door. Our family thanked the Lord for His goodness. Our boys grabbed the kayaks and canoe to helped the neighbors evacuate from their homes. Throughout the day…

The Path

I haven’t kayaked in two years. It was time to get back in the saddle, and experience the joy of nature. It had rained the previous day, and the water level was higher than normal. Jewel weed

Have you looked in the mirror lately? The sin rash starts very small. Then very quickly it begins to spread. But there is hope, Jewel weed! Jesus will stop the spread of the poison.

New Beginnings

The mighty power of the Holy Spirit works an entire transformation in the character of the human agent, making him a new creature in Christ Jesus

The Shepherds

‘Where is He that is born King of the Jews?’ they said; ‘or we have seen His star in the East, and are come to worship Him’.” Desire of Ages p.62

The Witness

“If every one who claims to be a child of God were filled with faith and light and life, what a wonderful witness would be given to those who come to hear the truth! And how many souls might be won to Christ!” Testimonies for the Church 6:64

The Human Body

“The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” Matthew 11:4,5

The Patient

“My child, my love. Even though for the moment we have been separated by time and circumstances, I look forward to the day when I can personally celebrate your birthday with you face to face. Until then, know that I love you.”

Baby Eyes

One of the greatest moments in my life is when each child extended his or her arms to me and finally smiles and says “Dada”. I look into their eyes and melt. To see life. To see creation. To see growth and baby steps is a wonder.

Knock knock, who’s there?

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
